Challenge

A large German automotive company grew organically over decades into a diversified, yet monolithic organization. To be more flexible in adressing each division's needs, the company decided to split the three divisions in separate legal entities with an overarching holding. This required extensive project management across multiple sites and countries.

Solution

We provided profound project management expertise, especially to the commercial vehicle division, both in a central PMO function as well as in a site-specific role. The activities covered a wide array of functions, ranging from HSE to production and exports to Finance.

Benefit

The project came to a successful closing as most employees accepted the transfer, the shareholders accepted the split, and all operational tasks were completed in time, without any major delays or issues.
